THE ETHIOPIAN EUNUCH CONVERTS

Philip was given the direction by an angel to go down a desert road that led from Jerusalem to Gaza.
As Philip was following the way, he met an Ethiopian Eunuch?

What do we know about the Ethiopian Eunuch?
He was an important official in charge of all the treasury of Queen Candace of Ethiopia. He had gone to Jerusalem to worship and was on his way home when he decided to sit in his chariot and read the book of Isaiah the prophet.

Philip was told by the Holy Spirit to go closer to the chariot. He heard the eunuch reading from the book of Isaiah. He asked the eunuch if he understood what he was reading. The eunuch in simple terms told him no.

The eunuch was reading from Isaiah 53:7-8. The passage reads: “He was led like a sheep to the slaughter and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For His life was taken from the earth.

Philip explains to the eunuch that the passage of scripture was talking about Jesus’ suffering and crucifixion. He actually told him how Jesus had died for him(eunuch)
What was the response of the eunuch to the message?
He believed in Jesus, repented and was baptized.
